INCI Name

Function / Properties
Deodorant/anti-odor active derived from a Lactococcus lactis fermentation process, designed to selectively reduce bacteria responsible for bad body odor (Staphylococcus hominis, Corynebacterium xerosis, C. tuberculostearicum) while preserving beneficial, non-odor-associated bacteria (e.g. S. epidermidis), respecting the axillary/feet skin microbiota balance. In vivo clinical studies: odor intensity 8h after application significantly lower than placebo (-30% Day 1, -35% Day 3, p<0.05); vs triethylcitrate, odor significantly lower at 3h (-67% Day 1, -60% Day 3, p<0.05) and at 6h/8h on Day 1 (-56%/-33%); also shows complementary anti-odor activity on feet bacteria (Brevibacterium epidermidis, Cutibacterium acnes, Bacillus subtilis), with minimum inhibitory concentration on B. epidermidis of 1.6%. While preserving beneficial bacteria to respect microbiota balance, axillary and feet bad odors disappear, bringing a sensation of comfort and freshness.
Applications
Deodorant products, hygiene products (axillary and feet odor control).
Usage & Form
Recommended use level: 2%. Add to emulsions at the end of the preparation process, either cold or at 35-40°C during cooling; recommended pH 4.00-6.00 (if formulation contains alcohol, keep alcohol ≤15% and do not increase pH above 6). Liquid, partially soluble in water (10%), slightly yellow color; store in a dark place, original packaging, ambient temperature 15-25°C. Registered in China (CFDA approved). Toxicology (tested at 2%): very good skin compatibility (cutaneous irritation patch test and HRIPT sensitization test); slightly non-irritant in eye irritation (HET-CAM/CFIO test).
