Function / Properties
Anti-hair loss active and scalp microbiota modulator, sourced from sesquiterpenes and polyphenols in Lindera strychnifolia roots. In vivo at 1% (84 days, men with type III alopecia): +7% hair number (~+7000 hairs), 71% of volunteers with increased hair density; rebalances scalp bacteriobiota (C. acnes/S. epidermidis ratio -37.8% to -99.7%) and mycobiota (M. globosa/M. restricta ratio +27%) linked to a healthy scalp. In vitro: modulates Wnt/beta-catenin and TGF-beta1 pathway inhibitors (DKK-1 -89%, sFRP-1 -21%, TGF-beta1 -55%, EDT-1 -21%) and increases dermal papilla cell proliferation more than Minoxidil (+41% vs +9%).
