Function / Properties
Purifying complex for greasy hair & scalp; synergistic blend of Nettle leaf, Black cohosh root, Maca root and Milk thistle seed extracts providing sterols, flavonoids, proteins, isoflavones and minerals. In vivo (5% in shampoo, 3-week application): decreases scalp sebum production by up to -50% in 3 weeks. Sterols from black cohosh & milk thistle inhibit 5-alpha reductase (key sebum-production enzyme); Nettle normalizes sebaceous glands; also has antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and anti-elastase activity.
