Function / Properties
African superseed oil for hair nutrition, mainly composed of linoleic, oleic and palmitic acids from Baobab (Adansonia digitata) seeds, appreciated for dry frizzy hair care. In vivo (1% Lipactive Baobab in conditioner, single use): hair sheathing & protective effect shown by SEM imaging of hair scales.
Applications
Hair repair care products, shampoo & conditioners for dry hair, hair care for dry frizzy hair.
Usage & Form
Recommended use level 0.5-2%; no preservative required; natural origin content 100% (ISO 16128). Reference: BAOBAB ORGANIC STABILISED LIPACTIVE (111008); also exists in conventional grade. Sourced via a fair-trade partnership with a female producer group in Burkina Faso since 1999.
