Function / Properties
Anti-graying and self-esteem booster active sourced from Picrorhiza scrophulariiflora roots (used in Ayurvedic medicine & vitiligo treatment). In vivo at 1%: restores the natural hair color, with -9% white hair proportion at 2.5 months and -15% at 5 months, -16%/-19% white hair density, +8% self-esteem (Rosenberg scale) and -22% unpleasant emotions (BMIS) at 5 months. In vitro: lowers oxidative stress in hair follicle cells (-12% ROS, +16% NRF2, +35% HMOX1, +144% SLC7A11) and stimulates melanogenesis (+25% melanin synthesis under stress, -22% tyrosinase activity under stress).
